Bottesford History Archive

The Bottesford Community Heritage Project has been building up a catalogue of images from its local history archive in a separate website called the Bottesford History Archive. At the moment the archive contains over 1300 pictures, mostly scans of photographs contributed by villagers but also including images of a set of linocuts of village scenes and a series of pages from the historic records of the Muston Overseers of the Poor. The images are accompanied by the record reference numbers and information relating to the perennial questions of what, who, when and where?

The archive itself is password-protected for the time being, but there is now a way to add individual images+information to this website. This is a new feature which we are feeling our way with, and hope to improve as time goes by.

Below you can see some pictures selected from the Bottesford History Archive. Each is presented as an individual page, showing the picture and the information currently help in the archive. This information is in many cases far from complete and may contain errors - we welcome your additional information and corrections - please feel free to use the Comments box to help us improve the archive.
