Doctor Fleming's Hospital, Market Street, Bottesford
This building was first constructed in 1620; much rebuilt since then but it retains some of the original stone masonry and its datestone now set in brickwork over the door. Samuel Fleming, rector of Bottesford in the first decades of the C17th, had it built as a place where six elderly village women without family support could live out their years. It is still owned by a trust and has been converted into two flats.
