Bottesford Rectory, gate on Church Street
The front gates of the Rectory, opening on to Church Street. The two figures have not been identified, but they are certainly not members of Mr Blackmore’s family.

The lady in the photograph might well be Mrs Katie Firth and the child, her daughter… She later had a son. Mrs Firth came from Kalamazoo in the United States of America. The Firth family moved in to the house adjacent to the old Rectory gate, on the opposite side of the road. Katie Firth originated in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was very kind and an exciting cook!!!
