  • I think the teacher standing to the left of the picture is Miss Walker who lived on Lombard Street Orston – a well respected member of the village community when I was growing up in the 50s and 60s.

  • Yes Andrew, you are right, it is Miss Walker.
    I am also on this photo back row second from the left. Also two of my children were also taught by Miss Walker before we emigrated to Australia. I thank her for her ability to impart knowledge, something that has helped me and my family over the years I’m sure because of which our eldest son is a teacher and our grandson, also has just started teaching as well. Thank you Miss Walker you were a brilliant teacher.
    Early in the Bottesford Historys beginnings I had the pleasure along with others of putting names to faces, it helped I’m sure to keep the grey matter alive and active.
