Postcard of the old Washdyke Bridge
The title “Bunken Hill, Bottesford” is inaccurate in that the name should be Bunker Hill (from the battle in the American War of Independence) and refers only to the rows of cottages seen in the centre and right of the background. In the foreground is the Washdyke Bridge, which carried the Grantham Turnpike over the River Devon.
