  • Re the 1940 photo I am almost certain that on the far right of the second row up is my cousin Sheila Richards (nee Tarring) – she was an evacuee during the war from London and lived with us – and on the third row up in the middle (the 6th pupil counting from either side) is my other cousin Betty Smith (nee Culpin). Brenda Turier.

  • My father, George Taylor, is in 3 of the pics, pic 1 dark haired boy 3rd row back by the rocking horse. Pic 2 back row centre of window. Pic 5 in the middle with white shirt. Fabulous, thanks very much for the memories.

  • In the first photograph I believe it is my uncle, Peter Christmas, third row back, to the front and right of the two children on the rocking horse. (Sitting next to George Taylor, on the right as we look at the image)

In the last photograph, in the line of four children on the right of the picture, I think the girl with the long hair and floral crown in the short white dress and black shoes and holding the hand of the smaller girl in the dark dress, is my mother, Marcia Christmas

  • We are most grateful to Mr George Waudby who kindly identified many children pictured in the 1928 photograph.
