My Finds
In Celebration of National Archeology Week, Bottesford's Youngest Archeologist, 5 year old Will, records his finds.
Hello, my name is William. I am 5.
I like finding things and where I live in Stable Court I have found many interesting objects while digging in the garden.
Our house is built on land that used to be our neighbour, Janet’s, riding school.
I met with Janet to show her my finds. Janet told me all about the old barn that was pulled down to make space for the new houses on Stable Court. Many of the objects I had found were building materials from the old barn, and also some saddlery parts and pieces of old leather.
I was excited when Janet showed me some photographs of what my garden looked like before our house was built and some pictures of the old barn.

Are there any other keen archeologists, young or old, in Bottesford?
If you have any interesting finds, we would like to hear about them.
Add your own words and pictures to the web site, contact us or get in touch with the Bottesford Archeology Warden, Bob Sparham.
