I worked in Bottesford many times as a boy for a Mr McKay.The house he lived in I believe is on High St, on the right hand side as you enter the village coming in from Bingham. I am not certain but I think it was called the Beeches. This was about 1976. I know Mr McKay is buried in St Marys as me and my father went to the funeral. My father did a lot of work on the house including building a very large bay window at the back of the house, and a stone fireplace with copper canopy that my uncle made. When we worked for him he had a very lovely wife named Ann, not only in looks but in personality. In fact, she was a lady. If you know what happend to her or where she is now I would love to say 'Hello' and give her my best wishes. If you or anyone in you group know of her please give her my message.

Yours, Stephen Cunningham.

Thanks and keep up the good work. I really enjoyed this site and the nostalgia it brought back.

I'm seriously disappointed in what is offered on this site. What on earth is wrong with people in Bottesford that people don't respond?

I have quite a lot of data from Bottesford gathered over the years, but I think you need the Guys website and not mine. He has a ton of parish record entries on his website.
My lines in Bottesford are from the PAINTER/WOOD/DENT lines.

We are sorry that this site disappoints those who might be seeking genealogical information. Guy Etchells' site is the one to go for if that is the primary interest (http://freespace.virgin.net/guy.etchells/). The focus of our site is living history. We therefore offer a very limited forum for detailed genealogical enquiries. We welcome feedback on the site which continues to grow in popularity. Over 27000 people from 116 countries have visited since May 2007 and we value all contributions and comments to this web site and the Bottesford Living History project.
