There's Nothing Simple About a Scarecrow

Bottesford Scarecrow Trail, May 19th-20th, 2007
By Chris and Dorothy Baines

Bottesford's scarecrow-makers, inspired by the theme of Hollywood, surpassed themselves this year, with an astonishing display of wit, ingenuity, creativity and skill. A total of 46 scarecrows were on display. The sun shone (a week before we 'enjoyed' an Arctic Spring Bank Holiday) and the festival was a great success. Here are some of the highlights.

Comments about this page

As Vice Chair for Friends who organise this event have only just come across this excellent page. Well done to the authors. Do we have permission to have a link from our school web site to this and visa versa under our Friends page?

Not sure if you know but the event has moved to 14th and 15th June.
