The picture Queen St West site demolished cottages.
The Morris car in the picture I'm sure was my fathers car, and the cottages across the road from the Police Station I remember well. Also the large amount of telephone wires on the bigger pole were the connection between Grantham and Nottingham, they passed directly over the Police Station's rear garden, and I remember every Autum all the 100s of swallow's would congregate before starting their Migration to warmer climes.I wonder if they still do the same, and if they do where? How old is this Photo, do you know? I currently live at 21. Brewsters house. It's amazing looking back how the village used to look. The old co-op was lovely.

Thanks for your interest.

We have no documentary information when the photograph was taken. Probably post 2nd WW in the 1950's.
