My Grand Parents lived in the first cottage as you go into the yard, Mrs Thurlby lived in the bottom end cottage. The loo's were at the end of the yard, emptied weekly by the 'sanitation' lorry.
The cottage had a small kitchen with a black range & a sink.
A small 'front room', which faced on to the road.
Two bedrooms upstairs.
I loved it there & now they are gone!!
