Mrs Wendy Cross (nee Topps) kindly provided this remarkable record of Bottesford children celebrating the opening of the Victory Commemoration Hall in January 1947.
Wendy 'rescued' this photograph. Even though it shows signs of wear and tear the vitality of the occasion is clearly recorded.
The Grantham Journal records on January 24th 1947 that the children were enjoying watching a Punch and Judy Show.
