The Bull Football Team 1981/2

Over the years Bottesford has had many football teams. This side played in the Grantham so-called Friendly League (I can assure you it wasn't!).

The Bull Football Club changed to the Cricket Club F.C. in about 1981. It did play in a European tournament held in Belgium and France. I would love to tell you what went on during this trip but I will leave this to the other players and supporters. We lost people in all sorts of places.

I can remember the supporters club, consisting of Frank Wilkinson, Jeff Brindley, George Hodge (ex landlord of the Bull), meeting the French mayor of a small town where we played. Very interesting. There must be a lot more photos and stories from this trip. I think it was around Easter 1980?
