It was the first White Christmas in Bottesford and Muston for several years.

We were lucky to escape the worst of the weather, with only a few inches of snow and no major transport disruption. Even so, it felt pretty cold here and snow and ice made walking treacherous, resulting in some accidents and the cancellation of out Local History Society meeting on Temperance.

oh how lovely to see some snowy pictures of Bottesford. I lived there for 33 years and now live up in Scotland. Must admit we have a wee bit more snow that you do. We have about a foot at present and today it was a wee bit warmer- a mere minus 10 at 11 am!! Due to have more snow tonight. Thank you for keeping me in touch with Bottesford. Donna

Thought you might be interested to know that our temp will rise to 37deg.
Yesterday was a mild 34deg.

New Years Greetings from the Colonies. We also were pleased like Donna to see dear old Bottesford on the web site,thanks Neil for the delightful photographs.
But unlike you all we basked in 41c on New Years Eve, in fact we didn't bask we all hid until the sun went down, overnight the temp dropped to 24c.
Today Friday is a nice 32c.
All the best to all our old Friends and Family and have a Happy and Healty 2010.

Good to see photo's of the village in winter, brings back memories, do not get that way much at the moment. Back in the 60's we skated on the canal.
