Winter 1979, Nottingham Road, approaching Bottesford

This picture shows traffic caught in a tail back due to difficult driving conditions during snowfall in the winter of 1979. It recalls the days before the A52 bypass was built and through traffic passed through the village along the High Street and Grantham Road, so that the village centre was badly congested.
