The Cross & Stocks was published in Bottesford monthly during 1968 and 1969, under the editorship of Ted Shipman. Ted was a retired RAF WW2 flying ace. He was very active in the village, sitting on the Parish Council, working as churchwarden, as well as editing this magazine. Sadly, it was unable to continue after two years publishing, but is still fondly remembered. The Bottesford Heritage Archive has a complete set, though only part of it has been digitised.
