Like gardening & want to be involved with the Bottesford Friendly Garden?

Come along on Sunday mornings between 10.30 am – 12 noon and

speak to one of Station Adopters.

Bottesford Friendly Garden is next to Bottesford railway station and was created as a tranquil place for everyone to enjoy and as a haven for wildlife of every kind.

2018   The EMR Poacher Railway line officer, Bottesford Parish Council, and the local community created a garden plan to turn the piece of waste ground adjacent to Bottesford railway station into a Community Garden. Funding was secured and working with The Bee Friendly Trust and the Vale of Belvoir Lions Club, the local school was approached to submit some garden designs. Then work started on the mammoth task of clearing the site and renovating the building. The Beaver Cubs group made bug hotels and in a poll, the public named the garden the Bottesford Friendly Garden.

2019   The garden was officially opened by Her Grace, the Duchess of Rutland in June 2019 and is kept looking beautiful by a team of volunteers known as Station Adopters.
