Jules Tobin and her team of writers and helpers are producing a Living History drama based on pictures and memories of Bottesford during the early 1950s. The performance will be on the afternoon of Sunday May 4th 2008, the day before the Village Gala on May Day Bank Holiday.

The drama is supported by a grant from the Nationwide Building Society.

A set of short plays will be performed at points around the village centre starting from the old school rooms on Grantham Road and ending with refreshments in the Baptist Chapel on Queen Street, once the school canteen. They will bring the past to life in the places where it really happened. The audience will be led from one location to the next on this outing by the Head Master of the old school.

We are looking for volunteers to act and help make the performance a success in a host of other ways. Please contact us by emailing to info@bottesfordhistory.org.uk if you want to get involved. We want to involve as many local people as we can, to make it a truly communal event. Previous acting experience is not necessary.

Watch this space for more details as they come in.
