Canon Blackmore with his wife and friends examines a book in Bottesford's Old Rectory
This picture, probably belonging to the Grantham Journal, shows the late Canon Blackmore, Rector of Bottesford, examining a book. The location is probably Bottesford’s old rectory, and the people in the picture are:
Standing (L-R): Mr John Thomas Ravell, Mrs Randell, Mr Edgar Culpin, Mr Albert Topps;
Seated (L-R): Canon Blackmore, Mrs Blackmore, Mrs Clarke. Canon Blackmore was rector until 1958 and Mr Ravell passed on in 1961, so this picture may date from about 1955.

The lady on the right at the front was my great aunt Agnes (“Nita”) Clarke nee Ravell, the sister of John Ravell on the left at the back.
