Faces at St Mary's, Bottesford (Project Gargoyle) - BOT/230

This category displays photographs of images of faces at St Mary’s taken as part of Project Gargoyle, wich was a county-wide programme lead by Bob Trubshaw which aimed to records all such images in parish churches in Leicestershire. They including carvings on the external masonry, carvings on the internal masonry, parts of the medieval Doom painting, faces on tombs and monuments in the church, and faces in the stained-glass windows. A selection of the images are also to be found in the published book Angels and Dragons by Neil Fortey and Robert Sparham. In some cases, additional images are added.
