Harold Brewster (Dorothy Beedham’s father) in the Great War serving with the Leicestershire Regiment. Taken before he was wounded. Reproduced in Michael Honeybone’s ‘Book of Bottesford’ published in 1989.

‘Both Mr H. Brewster and Mr. Frank Allcorn were so badly wounded they took postmen’s jobs after the war, unable to continue farming’ (p. 103).
