In colloboration with the Vale of Belvoir Lions

Many attractions and displays at this years May Day Gala are organised to mark the Centenary of the 1st World War. 100 years ago, the community organised similar events to raise morale and funds in aid of the war effort. Significant funds were raised in 1915, 1916 and 1917. In today’s money, over £5000 at each each ‘Gala’. The Vale of Belvoir Lions Gala Committee and the Bottesford Parish 1st World war Centenary project acknowledge the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund
