Location: FLEMING’S HOUSE, 25, MARKET STREET, Bottesford, Melton, Leicestershire
House. Dated 1620. Original almshouses of ironstone, of which parts remain to ground floor. Completely rebuilt in brick in the late C18 and refenestrated late C20. Pantile roof. 2 storeys in 4 bays. C18 panelled door in second bay from left below 6 vaned fanlight. Over door a stone plaque: Dr Fleming’s Hospital 1620. 3 late C20 casements to ground floor and 4 to first floor. Gabled roof with internal north gable-end stack and ridge stack right of centre.
