Family walking along Lumley Road, on holiday in Skegness
Many people from Bottesford and other places in the East Midlands would take their holidays by the sea at Skegness; this family group is strolling through the resort along Lumley Road, perhaps on their way to the beach.

Lumley Road in Skegness, probably taken by the firm of Wrates….
Dear Simon, thanks for confirming that it is in Skegness, in fact a scene on the road leading straight from the railway station to the clock-tower and the beach. I noticed that in the background there are some tall trees and what appears to be a park entrance. Google Maps shows that the street passes the entrance to Tower Gardens, and I wonder if what we see is the entrance to this formal park, as it appeared at when the picture was taken. Am I on the right track? With best wishes, Neil Fortey
