Many people from Bottesford and other places in the East Midlands would take their holidays by the sea at Skegness; this family group is strolling through the resort along Lumley Road, perhaps on their way to the beach.

Dear Simon, thanks for confirming that it is in Skegness, in fact a scene on the road leading straight from the railway station to the clock-tower and the beach. I noticed that in the background there are some tall trees and what appears to be a park entrance. Google Maps shows that the street passes the entrance to Tower Gardens, and I wonder if what we see is the entrance to this formal park, as it appeared at when the picture was taken.
