Biographies of people who served

Many Parish residents do not have relatives who lived locally during the 1st World War. However they do have relatives who served in the war. These are some of their stories and experiences. We aim to collect and publish as many of these as possible as part of the Bottesford Parish 1st World War Centenary Project.
This section also includes examples of men who were connected with Bottesford, and sadly lost their lives in the fighting of WW1, but were not included on the Bottesford War Memorial. These include Joseph Hand and Thomas Goodson Roberts.
