The lock house, view of the rear elevation
This picture shows the rear elevation of the house, the side facing the canal. There are fewer widows on this side, in contrast to the large windows on the front. One small window to the left of the ground.floor, opening from the living room; another small one letting light into the stair well. The dining room has what might be described as an oriel-type canopied bay window, which appears to have been added when a previous door opening was blocked off. There is also a window to the lean-to kitchen. Upstairs, there is only one small window, letting light into the landing and stair well, but neither of the bedrooms has a window on this side of the house.
